Client Background
Developed by clinical psychologists at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The app was originally built in-house — but needed a modern revamp to reach a new generation of trauma survivors, both veterans and civilians alike.

What
We Did
We worked closely with their internal team to modernize the flow, improve navigation, and simplify onboarding without losing the weight of the app’s purpose. Every design decision was trauma-sensitive, informed, and intentional.

The
Challenge
Working with government guidelines while also updating an outdated UI/UX is a tightrope. They wanted to keep the integrity of their clinical resources, but finally make the app feel like it was made in this decade.

We don’t just build pretty apps. We build digital lifelines — with empathy baked in
The Outcome
PTSD Coach saw a major spike in adoption post-relaunch, with improved user reviews and extended usage across healthcare networks. It remains one of the most trusted mental health tools for those managing trauma day-to-day.
