A real-time bed marketplace for recovery housing in Arkansas
Case managers and families need to know which recovery houses have a bed open today. Forjwell is designing and building the app, facility portal, admin panel and API. Still in build.

01The challenge
Finding an open recovery bed in Arkansas has meant phone trees, outdated lists and whoever you happen to know. Facilities with beds open stay invisible to the case managers and families looking for them, and every search starts from scratch. UNDN asked Forjwell to build the network that fixes that, starting in Northwest Arkansas.
02Our approach
Bed counts are the product
Facilities update counts with large counters and see a live preview of their search card. Counts older than 48 hours are marked not updated and rank below fresher listings.
One app, two voices
A Flutter app for case managers and families with search, filters, a map, facility pages, reviews and messaging, written in a professional voice for one and a warmer one for the other.
Trust built into the design
Two verification tiers: licence checked, then a UNDN visit to the house. Sponsored placement is flat-fee, clearly labelled and kept out of ranking, and no clinical data is stored.
Portal, admin and API
A Next.js facility portal and admin panel share one design system with the app through a single token file, on a NestJS, PostGIS and Redis backend.
03Inside the work

04Four surfaces, one source of truth
- Mobile appSearch, map, facility pages, messages
- Facility portalBed counts, listing, verification
- Admin panelVerification, moderation, exports
- Marketing siteWaitlist for Northwest Arkansas
- Design tokensOne file drives web and Flutter
- AccessibilityColour ramp fixed at the token level
05The outcome
The app, facility portal, admin panel and marketing site run end to end on demo data, and the backend is being built in phases. UNDN is still in build and has not launched; this case study says so.
